Understanding and managing risk across your supply network
This course teaches procurement and supply chain professionals how to build a complete risk management process for their key suppliers, from identifying vulnerabilities in the supply chain through to assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risk over time. Participants learn how to quantify supplier risk, apply third-party risk management (TPRM) principles, set risk tolerance and controls, and mobilise stakeholders around a plan. By the end, each delegate has built a working risk action plan for a real supplier, along with the templates and reference materials to embed the approach across their organisation.

Develop an analysis of your own supplier centric supply chain risks and build this into a risk action plan.
Aimed at supplier managers who are responsible for oversight and management of the risks that key suppliers introduce to the supply chain, this intermediate/advanced level training course addresses the following themes, and illustrated in the adjacent diagram:
Supply chain objectives and Supplier SLAs and KPIs
Identifying barriers and risks to supplier delivery
Inherent and engagement risk: Impact and probability.
Risk control and mitigation strategies.
Residual risk: Impact and probability.
Risk acceptability.
Risk action plans: Monitoring, reporting and testing controls.

The course will enable you to:
Refine and apply a risk management governance process to deliver and maintain a robust supply chain through your suppliers.
Review and understand both the inherent, macro and engagement related risk drivers that suppliers bring and document these in a risk management plan template.
Identify and validate sources of risk related information, including predictive risk indicators and incorporate these into your risk action plan.
Quantify the potential impact of the risks you identify on the supply chain.
Define, document and manage responsibility and stakeholder engagement for third-party risk management (TPRM) within the supply chain.
Ensure that significant risks are properly reported, and that the controls being used to manage them are effective.

All course attendees will receive a complete suite of support resources, templates and reference material, to ensure a consistent approach to SRM is embedded into your organisation.
The reference manual is designed to accompany the training and provide the visuals and a complete set of notes so that the student has a complete record of the material taught.
Additionally, a workbook that comprises a comprehensive set of templates is completed by each participant as they progress through the training. Exercise by exercise, this builds into a complete supplier risk action plan.
